Carroll Shelby considers giving up the wrench and socket on complete project cars after completing the 2011 Ford GT350.

Shelby plans on focusing his business on performance parts rather than complete cars:
The 87-year-old Shelby told The Dallas Morning News that he wants to focus on the business of selling go fast parts, not necessarily complete cars, in the future.
“I want to build fewer cars and sell more parts,” Shelby told the newspaper. “It’s hard to make any money on a car. But our parts business is growing 15 to 20 percent a year.”
Shelby says that the GT350 will likely be limited to around 500 units annually for its production run – a figure that pales compared to the number of Mustang-based Shelby GTs produced a few years ago.

It will be sad to see Shelby giving up complete cars as his vehicles represented some of the finest tuned Mustang's around.
