RCAutoworks a well known performance shop located in Bridgeview, IL is building a Pontiac GTO and hope for it to reach 900+RWHP and hope to run in the 9's on the track. They where gracious enough to let us follow the build, so stay tuned for more to come!

Here is the run down:
7.0 iron block 427 Cubic inches (LS7)

RCautoworks Custom Turbo setup :p

4 inch down pipe/Dump

Borg Warner S400-80

Twin Tial wastegates

Air to water intercooler mounted behind dash

Super Victor Intake 90mm throttle body

Front and Mid Motor plates.

TH400 Transmission

S&W 10 pt Roll Cage

Gforce Engineering Axles and Rear Coilover kit

Mini Tub to fit 315's DR's

Car will be fully gutted, no radio, A/C, Heat, PS, ABS.

1. it would eat that DSM 2. who gives a shit about a starion. also not to sure how this is rice, please enlighten us all. ...that turbo is equivalent to a 47r... thats not on the small side if you ask me, but what do i know..? i've never met anyone who automatically knows how much "PSI" they're going to run to achieve the disired power.

Atleast you guys are putting a auto in this goat.....I do think that turbo is on the smaller side for as many cudes you are stuffing in the car......How many psi are you planning on turning on this thing 25+?

If you are turboing it and gutting the whole car, why not just build a 900WHP Honda? It would cost the same if not less, and hold up longer. I say if you go V8, go balls out like All-motor or 1300WHP+ turbo, and take advantage of of the bigger engine. I do like the car it's going in, I personally haven't seen any newer GTO's racing. Good luck, you guys are the best and I know it will be amazing.

WTF is this?? My boy's boy from the other town who's got a boy named Brian Spilmer, I think that's his name, has a 10 sec dsm that will DECIMATE this if not ALL. My other boy's boy, boy boy boy's mama's EG civic running on 3 cylinders that's on c16, with the best weapon R intake can beat this. This car is soooooo rice, I mean my pos dels sol with an integra front end(jdm) that I got for $400 is faster than this. HAHAHAHAHHAHA gotta love the interweb trollin goonz. Spittin their talk on the web, but on the real world is just the same as a flacid Dick. Oh yea my 2jz no shit MIATA is faster than this goat.

lol at all the ricer comments. Im building a 700-800 horse Honda (s2000) and its not cheaper then this build by far. If you build a 900 horse Honda you will HAVE to run c16-q17 and that wont be cheap at all. I would like to see a 4 banger make over 600 on pump with no meth. AWD is best. I dont see any AWD cars running 5 second passes at the track. Keep your ricer comments to yourself.

Hey guys, My name is Vince. I am the owner of the car. When I decided to build a car, I didnt decide to build a 9 second car. I decided to build a 9 second GTO. I realize like most of you, that it is not the most practical thing but it is what I wanted. Ive wanted one of these cars since they came out. I wanted to be different, you know like how all you 4 cylinder guys were different when you first started modding 4 bangers. You would think that our generation of car enthusiasts would be over the whole"import vs. domestic" thingImports have proven themselves that they can hang with V8's over and over again. Its not a pissing contest guys, its just for fun.

Man you guys can be so naive...just think about it...how much money are you dumping into this pile of American shit? Take a look at John Shepard...he ran a 7.6 at the track WITHOUT meth or nitrous. AMS's drag evo is about to break another record this year and so is STM. I was just simply asking how it would hold up against my DSM that's all. This is why all of you eight cylinder knuckle heads get ricers revving on you all the time. I appreciate what you are doing with the car but facts are facts. I don't care if he puts a GT100millionR on his GTO, it won't see past 9's unless it is stripped completely of everything and purposely BUILT to withstand those times. Like I said, I respect the idea and kudos to you but other than that an AWD (with a good driver of course) will run faster than THIS GTO. As for HondaKyle, I am a true enthusiast. I respect everyone's car but it doesn't mean that I have to like them. Why do you HAVE to run C16 on a Honda? Are you out of your mind? E-85 is another alternative that you can use. It all depends on what modifications are done to your vehicle. Obviously a car with a smaller turbo will need the race gas to produce numbers that a bigger turbo can dish out on pump. There are many factors involved when trying to achieve specific goals with your car. Most incompetent kids think you can slap a big turbo or a supercharger on a car and go but reality is is that you CAN NOT. Some of you really need to do your homework before you post a bunch of bull-shit on here.

V8Killa you are a fucking moron. Until 4 cylinder AWD cars become the cream of the crop in drag racing, your 4 cylinder > 8 cylinder argument is moot. There is not replacement for displacement. If AWD is so great, then how come every drag car out there is not being built as an AWD car?

Wow you guys are seriously biased. I personally drive an 04 Gto and the guy that tunes it drives a 800+whp evo. His name is Adam Blevins if you wanna look him up. Or look up Rich Hoods sts equipped GTO. I give the evo props, it pulls about anything that pulls up next to it, including supercharged vettes and the previous mentioned GTO. There is no sense in knocking another persons car because of how they want it built, because in their mind it is justified. Another note on the 700+whp s2000 scene, Adam also tuned Cody Neylor and Chad Tyler's s2000's to over 700whp on e-85 on a stock block and stock internals. Btw, those are all uncorrected hp numbers. Build what you like and if your truly a car person then you will appreciate and realize the time and effort put into cars such as this GTO. It's truly a beautiful car and I for one, can't wait to see it in action.

What a fantastic way to defend your viewpoint! I never understood why enthusiasts like you spend their time exclaiming vulgarity towards others with different viewpoints than yours. Here let me tell you why every car isn't made into an AWD. First of all AWD costs more than a RWD car because of the parts that they use. RWD cars CAN cost more because of the QUALITY of the parts being used. Hence there are MANY factors that determine whether or not the car should be RWD or AWD and this is why engineers spend years designing cars. For example, a vette would perform horribly as an AWD car because it was purposely built for DRAG. An evo would FAIL as a RWD car because it is rally bred. If your peanut sized brain still didn't understand then I wouldn't be surprised. I don't even know why I am wasting my time typing this out because I never said AWD>RWD. I said an AWD with a good driver would perform better , at the track, than THIS CAR. Why do I say this? Because an AWD would grip better than the GTO and is lighter than the GTO. Oh and please keep the "Fast and the Furious" quotes out of this. I think the new one has gotten to your head already. As for my mom, clearly you are making assumptions. If you have fantasies about "performing sexual actions" with others mom then you need to get your head out of your Ford/Chevy redneck mobile and get some good ol' fashioned American pussy. Did you really just say that a corvette is made for drag racing? That is the last thing the designers of the corvette considered when making that car. You do know that the corvette is a dominant car in GT3 racing (or was a few years ago), don't you?
