Feature: Dreams Money Can Buy

The 350Z, arguably one of the best mass produced sports car in its time hit the world with a hammerfist back in 2003 with its attractive body lines, superb handling, and all around muscle. Since then, nearly every automotive company has contributed in some sort to bring it up to supercar status and compete with the bigboys. With a huge selection of aesthetic mods, suspension pieces, and power adders, there's no reason owner Andee Phan could resist such an amazing platform. The funny thing is, he never thought he'd be rolling in one-but his hard work, dedication and patience has him rolling in one exotic owners would drool over.

Hard work and motivation is a key tool in getting what you desire, you want something, well, work for it. Andee brings that mentality with him wherever he goes. He also has exceptional taste. Now what one desires is really a projection of ones taste, and as you can see, his taste is golden, and his desires turned to reality. Scouring the nation for the perfect Z, Andee purchased not 1, but 2 other Z's before landing on the Z that makes this page pop. I hear third times the charm. Previous to his RWD pride and glory, he dibble dabbled a bit with Hondas-because honestly, who hasn't? The sexy lines of the 350z were just too much to resist, and even had the ex girlfriend's bickering about his new found love and all the attention it got. I'm sure Andeee z doesn't get upset when he drives other cars- not unlike a girlfriend (rule #1 on why cars are better than girlfriends!).

"My favorite part of the car has to be its looks. How she sits. Most people would think the power would be my favorite, but its not. I've always been the type that rolls clean. Cause you know what they say , Image is Everything. Yeah it would definitely be her looks." Sittin pretty on the industry standard STANCE GR+, perfected with a dose of SPC camber arms, and topped off with some 19" Work Euroline rollers is a piece of rolling art. These pictures are worth more than a thousand words. Now to get this aggressive stance, its pretty clear that he did his homework. Sized 19x10 -9 up front on 225/35/19's, and an astounding 19x11 -21 (yes that's negative 21!) on 245/35/19's out back, Andee has created a recipe that goes through rubber faster than a Trojan lab study. its quite the s-t-r-e-t-c-h!

Such an aggressive stance cant be left alone to factory panels. Being a fan of clean cars, Andee molded a set of Nismo rear valances on that backside, while the front end is accented with an INGS front lip and custom blacked out headlights. Now theres a recipe on making your car a dime. But garage queen this is not. This was Andee's daily driver until recently. "I just love the attention she gets. It feels good to get compliments, that means all that time, sweat, and money into her paid off."

With the car looking clean and breaking necks, its time to get down to business. No silly boosted stock blocks here. With motivation from Yoshi with Swang N Bang, Edafe and Eric from BRG, and Milt from the west coast to name a few, he set his standards pretty high. Andee sees it beyond the car. His motivation is the appreciation he gets from others for his hard work-and it shows. With everything on this car an accomplishment, its no wonder he chose the parts he did. Stuffing the all mighty VQ35 with Wiseco pistons and Eagle rods, and polishing it off with a competition clutch, hes ready for some boost. A complete state of the art APS extreme kit force feeds the motor psi, with the help of twin Walbro pumps, and a GReddy boost controller. And for a little sex appeal, an equally attractive Kinetix SSV manifold with individual intake runners. All that power is too much to be left alone, and needs some control. Haltech comes to the rescue with their Platinum Pro engine management. After all is said and done, Andee's car is laying down some serious power, and its quite evident from the rumble out of his GTM dual 3" exhaust. Nothing like having a car that's just as fast as it is eye candy.

"I'm a wheel whore" Andee says as he contemplates buying a different set. "I plan on doing a full engine bay dress up, maybe upgrading injectors and a retune for E85, just to see what she can do. Upgrades will never end, so if you wanna get into the car game, plan to spend a lot of money!" laughs Andee.

With such high standards, and a knack for good taste, Andee has achieved what few have done, and what many strive for. He worked his ass off and it shows in his immaculate appearance, tons of power, and motivation to keep going further and further. In the words of Andee himself "Why sit there and dream? LIVE IT!!
