Everybody knows what an Infiniti G35 is. Its one of those cars that pops up out of nowhere and takes the world by storm. The classic lines, the luxury, the performance, the G35 sets the standard for what a performance luxury sedan should be. So what do you do when you finally get one? Take it up a notch of course, and owner Eddie Williams took his G35 to infinity and beyond.

Eddie didn't just decide to go grab a G35 one day. Rather, his G35 found him. "I used to be into the Honda's and the import scene in the early 90's. I got tired of blowing motors and transmissions" laughs Eddie. "After my Honda got stolen, I picked up a Ford Expedition and started to get into the show car scene. After a few years, my wife wanted me to get a new car. My friends had all picked up new cars, so i figured it was time for me to get something. I originally started looking at Lexus IS300's and Infiniti M45's. I just couldn't get into the styling of the Lexus" says Eddie. "In the same lot, I came across this G35, it had everything I wanted. The price was right, the car had more room, the rear seats reclined, it was like a young Maybach! So I picked it up that day, and started to mod it."

Eddie's plan, much like everybody elses plans never work. "It just kinda spiraled out of control" as Eddie says. He had been through 2 other sets of wheels before landing on the current set of Lexion 203's. Sized in at 19x9 + 25 up front, and 19x10 +35 rear, and wrapped in Toyo T1R's 235/30/19 and 255/30/19 respectively, the fitment and stance looks spot on. From wheels he turned to suspension, which as Mr. Williams says was "the point of no return." Sourcing an authentic Nismo body kit from 3 different dealers (they are that rare), Eddie got the aggressive look he was going for. To cap off the exterior, a VIS Carbon Fiber Hood, and a Kakumei Roof Spoiler work hand in hand to do the trick.

To keep this G in check, no sloppy 4x4 stock suspension will do. In the contribution to out-of-control-modding, Mr. Williams fancied up his G with a set of KSport coilovers. Determined to have a perfect stance, he tidied up the camber situation with the help of SPC and their camber bolt kits. Keeping everything feeling tighter than your first time, Whiteline came to the rescue with their solid bushings.

Popping the VIS carbon hood, you'd take note of the vq35 sitting before you. You'd also take note of how uncluttered it looks compared to the other G35's running around. JTran Studios swooped in and turned the engine bay into automotive eye candy. "I handed them the keys and said do what you want with it. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be where i am with the car today." JTrans recipe is simple and sweet. It includes a full wire tuck, one of his favorite pieces- custom "pie cut" intake, AAM manifold spacer, JDM battery cover, Koyo radiator, Motordyne slim fan, and NRG hood dampers. With the motor inhaling like a champ, its time for a little help spitting it out, and the pros at JTran Studios installed a set of test pipes, custom Y pipe, an HKS rear exhaust section and topped it off a full UpRev tune.

Eddie likes noise. It's apparent with his extensive collection of audio bits. Up front, the first thing you notice is the JDM climate control setup, which allows a double din to be fitted inside, unlike the USDM version. Eddie filled that gaping hole with an Alpine 205 Double Din and got into contact with one of his sponsors, Digital Design. They launched a full on audio assault on all eardrums by installing 2 Digital Designs 2500 series 10" sub woofers, complete with carbon fiber dust cap, and 1 Digital Design M2 amp to control it. To tame the "mids and highs" a Digital Design S4 amp controls the Digital Design 6.5" midrange pair, and the 6 Digital Design tweeters. "I've got 2 tweeters in the Bose sub port, and the other 4 are molded into the pillars, wrapped in vinyl, and look almost completely OEM." That's enough stereo equipment to support a concert.

Eddie Williams is a guy that has grown up with cars. From dragsters, to the early 90's import scene, and from showcars back to the import scene, Eddie has incorporated everything into this G35 before you. This G35 found Eddie, and he took it to Infinity and beyond.

Eddie would like to thank JTran Studios for their help. "I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them." He would also like to thank his sponsors, Smart Wax, Digital Designs, Assaultech, Underground Graphics, Chris Reno aka Chreeno Detail for keeping my ride so fresh & clean, and Houston-Imports.com. And lastly and most importantly, his wife and kids.
