This goes out to my old hatch A.K.A Gladys. I named her Gladys, because she needed a name first off, so I thought whats a better name for an old car than an old lady name..so thats how that came to be. Ohh, but dont let the old name and mustache fool you ladies and gentlemen, she ran like a horse on crack. Yes it might have only been a 16-valve, but wow did she perform. In the 86 world, I had what many called a Frankenstien build, high compression block with low compression output along with a big port head. To many that made no sense at all but when driven it all came together, revving to almost 9000 rpm felt pretty good ;]. Along with having all the good stuff done to it internals, it had a limited-slip differential and a standalone suspension tuning unit, which is where I had all the fun with this car. Right before i sold it, a bunch of friends and I went to the middle of no-where to have some fun whippin' and sliding lovely Gladys, truly showing where all my hard work had went to. Good times......

Sadly, hard times came about and I had to let her go. Just today as I was looking for what to blog about, I saw my old pics that reminded me of what it means to be a proud owner of a vehicle.

I'm sorry to all who find this rant a bit lame but I felt my Gladys deserved some recognition. Plus you know what they say, with every ending comes a new begining, so thats where my starlet A.K.A. Agnes comes into action, but thats for another time. Maybe even for an upcoming feature. ;] Well to all 86ers, enjoy..
