BRABUS Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet

"BRABUS has come up with a tuning programme for the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet. The kit will be available as soon as the car goes into market. It covers the whole spectrum, stretching from aerodynamics and engines up to interior customization."

"All engines receive power upgrades of some sort, starting with the E 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY which goes from 150kW (201bhp / 204PS) to 173kW (232bhp / 235PS) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) due to the use of a BRABUS ECO Power Extra D4 power kit. Then we have the E 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY which now serves up 200kW (268bhp / 272PS) and a creamy froth of 590 Nm (435 lb-ft) in torque."

"Petrol fans also get catered. The E 250 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY Cabriolet hits a high of 169kW (227bhp / 230PS) and peak torque of 350Nm (258 lb-ft). The E 350 CGI sees its V6 engine producing an extra 13.2kW (18bhp / 18PS)."

"At the top end is the E 500, called the E 550 in the US, with a 5.5-litre V8 engine and a standard 285kW (382bhp / 387PS). BRABUS increased the cubic capacity to 6.1-litres, thus upping maximum power to 340kW (456bhp/ 462PS) and maximum torque to 615 Nm (453 lb-ft) at a 3,100rpm."

"Being a BRABUS means aerodynamics are not left untouched either. To that end the car features a BRABUS front spoiler with integrated LED daytime running lights, front sport fenders with air openings, a rear valance with a centrally mounted reflector as well as left and right cutouts. A rear spoiler completes the picture."

"BRABUS dropped the suspension system by 30 millimeters (1.2 inches) and fitted a stainless-steel sport exhaust system with four tailpipes for all E-Class Cabriolet models. A choice of 17, 18 or 19-inch wheels will be available immediately while a 20-inch option comes later."

"The interior is decorated with BRABUS logos and features a branded sports steering wheel and carbon fibre inserts on a number of parts. Of course lots of customisation options can be ticked off the list too."
